Alternative Processes Darkroom
About:
Our Alternative Processes Studio is perfect for those exploring historical processes such as Cyanotypes, Vandyke, Gum Bichromate, Wetplate, etc. This studio has easy access to the outdoors and is especially enjoyed by folks who prefer to work with natural UV light. The outdoor studio is equipped with large rolling tables, running water, and a 4'x5' vacuum frame for extra large work.
One of the most exciting features of our Alternative Processes Studio is the work that was done by visiting artists Jennifer Gioffre, DE Todd and Sandy King. They created digital negative workflows for a number of historic processes and papers. These fine folks did extensive testing and created digital negative profiles designed to give us an easy start point for our digital negative workflow.
